Terracotta Heads
Terracotta Heads

Each of these heads is made with a palm-full or handful of clay. When I see that an identity has emerged, then I leave it alone.  Some form groups, some stand alone, kind of like people.  They are inspired by all the different kinds of people I see on the subway going to and from my studio every day.

I showed the first groups of these heads at my MFA Thesis exhibition in May 2014 at New York Studio School
