Born in New York City, Maud received her BA from Harvard University and her MFA from New York Studio School. She has exhibited paintings and sculpture in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2015 her painting was selected from a record-breaking 2,748 entries by artists from 92 countries around the world to be one of only 50 paintings in the BP Portrait award exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London and travel to Scotland and Northern Ireland. She lives and works in New York, NY and Sag Harbor, NY.
