Oil/Aluminum

These oil on aluminum paintings grow out of an exploratory impulse, to see who or what will emerge next. There’s a spirit element to them, as the figures that emerge oftentimes seem engaged in an enigmatic gesture or form, unclear whether they are coming or going and what they mean— maybe they’re characters in a long-told, or maybe forgotten, story. The reflective nature of the aluminum draws in its surroundings. 7x5 inches, oil paint on aluminum.
