Plaster
I love plaster for the ability to construct, collage, model, cast, and carve all in the same material. See CV page for where these have been exhibited, from Brooklyn, to Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, to Paris, to Exeter, New Hampshire. When making plaster forms I use the same method I use with drawing and painting— I start with parts that reference something I can see, and then I turn it around and upside down and keep going, adding and taking away, until its form emerges and it has its own reality.
